Clean, spacious and well equipped. We rented The Owl's Roost for the long bank holiday weekend and had a fabulous time! They are dog friendly and it was a perfect fit for us!

A beautiful place to stay and well placed to explore the amazing surrounding area. Nick and Julie do everything they can to ensure you have a great holiday. The houses are beautiful, tastefully decorated with lovely furniture, well equipped, including kitchens while being very homely and comfortable. (Oven in hayloft is missing a set of brackets so needed to be careful of big dishes not falling down at the back). Lots of thoughtful and practical additions, such as dog blankets, towels, dishes, portable bbqs. The outdoor space was brilliant for us as a big family group with plenty of space for us and the dogs to play and sit while not being on top of anyone else. The under cover table tennis and climbing wall, plus lots of other games were great for keeping us busy when we were spending time at the house. Great recycling instructions and bins if that matters to you, which it did to us. There’s also a wealth of guidance on what to do in the local area including maps and printed guides. Lots of work gone in to ensure you have a great holiday and can make the most of your time. The surrounding area is stunning. Lots to do if you love the outdoors. Views and hills/mountains are amazing, there’s canoeing and horse riding close by, both of which were great fun in beautiful surroundings and lots of wildlife. Many of our group are keen cyclists and they had the best time around the hills. We drove to see the red kite centre, which was spectacular. There are some lovely pubs within a 20 min walk, such as the Harp and Foyles restaurant gave us a beautiful meal on our last night to celebrate two big birthdays. (you do need to take care walking by the side of the road especially with dogs and small children as it’s fast and can be busy but the verges are large enough to manage and you cross and get into fields quite quickly to get into the village)
A great week was had by all and very hard to fault.

Fantastic cottage! Well equipped, clean, great character to the building, nice private space but not isolated. Loved the record player, made a lovely evening with a bottle of wine. We would definitely come back in future..

The cottages at Glanhenwye are of a very high standard - beautifully furnished and with very well-equipped kitchens. There is plenty of information about the local area and lovely gardens to relax in. A great place to stay and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. Many thanks to Nick and Julie for making us so wellcome

Glanhenwye is a great spot for exploring the beautiful local countryside.
We stayed in the Hayloft for a small family reunion which was great and perfect for what we needed. It was warm, the bedrooms are all large and the beds comfortable. The kitchen / dining / living space is super spacious, sociable and well equipped....and there was a list of other things easily available if what you needed wasn't in the cupboards.
Our 4 legged family member was also welcomed and well catered for with blankets, a great garden and plenty of walks.
Julie was very welcoming and great giving some local walking / running / eating tips and advice.
Would definitely recommend.

Just back from a wonderful week at Glanhenwye Courtyard Cottages. We loved our stay in Stable Lad’s - a beautiful cottage in a lovely courtyard setting, well equipped and very comfortable. Already missing the mountain views from the wonderful windows and our dog will definitely miss exploring and playing in the lovely large garden and grounds. It’s a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area with something for everyone and everything on the doorstep - from pottering around the bookshops of Hay, walking by and swimming in the river to, our main activity of the week , climbing in the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons. We saw many bird of prey and other wildlife on our walks. So much to see and do, we’ll have to come back! Julie and Nick are lovely hosts - friendly and on hand for help and advice without being intrusive. We’d definitely book again in the future.

We stayed in the Hayloft. Lovely accommodation with everything you need. Julie & Nick make you feel very welcome and are on hand to give you tips about what to do the in local areas and suggest good walks on the Brecon Beacons.
Not far from Hay on the Wye, where there are some great places to eat and drink.
Can’t wait to go back again.

Julie and Nick were the perfect hosts for a perfect holiday. We came looking for great walking, the outdoor life and some rest - we found it in abundance! The cottage was perfect; immaculately clean, incredibly comfortable and perfectly furnished. A great location and only a short walk from two lovely pubs. Come again? Try holding us back. Thanks

A really cosy home from home. The cottage was beautifully furnished with everything we needed and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful unspoilt countryside. It's the perfect place to escape. Can't wait to go there again.
